Welcome to kissing bridge cabin

Kissing Bridge Cabin #1 is the second of three seasonal rentals on our private, riverside property. Designed for a simple, cozy peaceful vacation. The century old Covered Bridge (now just for foot and bicycle traffic) is just a stroll down the driveway, restored in Spring 2023.

The Cabin itself is small (12x16) with an open studio concept including modest furnishings for optimal comfort and has THE BEST open river views. It’s equipped with all of your amenities; keurig style/drip coffee maker, microwave, stove, new larger mini fridge and freezer (2026), extra linens, dishes, and coffee/tea, shampoo, body wash, slippers, umbrella, books, blankets, crib board/cards, even a bed for your pup..

Your large (10x16) private deck is an extension of your space, with a full sized Webber bbq, new patio chairs and table (2026), umbrella and an outdoor dining set. A sweet spot for reading and sipping. What a view too!!

Your bonfire pit(best one of the three) is overlooking the river, make sure to bring your own firewood for cozy evenings outside enjoying the stars. Or you can use the new propane fire bowl instead. 

Stroll down to the small private beach where fishing, swimming and floating are encouraged. 

The Hammond River is tidal, and is always moving, the current switches directions every 6 or so hours. So if you bring your Floaties for lazy river adventures, best to tie to shore! 

Kayaking is really the best way to immerse yourself in the beautiful Hammond River channels. Luckily we have many kayaks, paddle boards and canoe just for our guests to use.

Kissing Bridge Cottage is our other seasonal rental that is also located on this property (about 100 feet away), they have their own space with a fire pit in the front yard ( you’ll notice when driving by). 

**NEW and final - CABIN #2 will begin welcoming up to 2 guests in July (Still allowing for privacy for all units). 

Here’s what IS shared with the Cottage (Cabin #2 Guests 2026) guests; the driveway, small private beach, fishing point area, the many Kayaks/Paddle boards/Canoes (also included are your safety gear, life jackets, paddles, lawn games like washer toss, and badminton). 

The Island has a relaxed vibe that allows you to feel at home and unwind and enjoy its tranquil surroundings.

Combined, all buildings accommodate 8 guests total.
